“Wolf evenings”

By the light of the moon, as the logs crackle in the campfire, you can watch the timber wolves almost within fur-stroking distance, and howl with them – a thrilling adventure for both children and grown-ups. The Springe Bison Paddock is offering its visitors the unique opportunity to experience this on three special “wolf evenings” between January and March 2012.

The wolf experts Birgit and Matthias Vogelsang will give a wide-ranging talk about their lives with these fascinating beasts of prey. This includes many details of how the animals feed, and of how they grow together within a pack and come to occupy a particular rank within the hierarchy. The falconry will provide further visitors to the campfire: barn owls, horned owls etc., those silent hunters of the night, will show off their prowess.
